Reading at Durty Bull 8/15

This Saturday, just before the beginning of the new semester, I will read at my other other job bartending at Durty Bull at 1 p.m. I’ll be joined by my friends Cortland Gilliam and Robert Creekmore. This reading is all about new beginnings. The bar may be closing, but that doesn’t mean we can’t imagine what the space could look like as something different. Hats off to Jo for having the vision on that front. I don’t know what I’m going to read, but I’m going to focus on seeing things anew whether it’s via a chapter from RAPTURE READY, which Ashley and I are editing, or another one from this summer’s work in progress “When Freedom’s Finished.” Hope to see you there!
